Key Benefits & Awards
Do I need to improve my typing? Whether you're a "two-finger typist" or are already fairly proficient, improving your typing skills can be extremely beneficial. The bottom line is this: if you type with one or two fingers (hunt-and-peck style) on each hand, the average person can probably manage 25-35 WPM (words per minute). If you learn to touch type, you can increase that speed to 50-100 WPM. Most of the things we do on a computer involve typing. And the quicker you can type, the quicker you get those tasks (online research, writing essays, book reports, term papers, etc.) done.
